Foreclosures and Short Sales can be an enormous value for some home buyers. Properties in distress can be purchased for below-market prices and can allow many buyers to realize the purchase of a home they may not otherwise have qualified for if it was being sold at market value.
As a buyer, it is critical that your Realtor is experienced with distressed property sales. Because of the complexity of this type of transaction, you don’t want to work with someone who is unfamiliar with the process. I have sold and listed a large number of short sale homes and foreclosures and have successfully negotiated these transactions. I believe that the key to negotiating a successful transaction is by setting proper expectations for my clients and keeping them informed on a regular basis. Communication is critical when dealing with banks on home purchases.
In the search fields below, you will exclusively find homes that are listed as having a “Special Sale Provision” – this means that they are a Short Sale (also known as pre-foreclosure) or as a Foreclosure (also known as a Bank Owned/REO, Real Estate Owned property). To search for homes that aren’t distressed properties, visit the MLS Home Search page.
